I still can't get this thing to work was created by rec head
I bought a Kickstarter remote and still don't have it setup. Every few weeks I try but the documentation isn't very helpful and searching hasn't gotten me answers that I understand.
When my remote boots up it opens the sr app but it is a blank page. I can't figure out how to check that the server connection is setup properly because apparently that only happens the first time you setup the remote. Forgetting my network and reconnecting doesn't bring up the server connection page. I found a thread on resting the remote and it didn't say how to reset it. It mentioned clearing the cache for the app without any instructions on how to do it. On the remote in the app in the upper right wifi is green and there is another icon next to it that is green.
I think I have mydesigner setup properly but I don't know if there is a way to check if the remote isn't connected.
I can't get the server to see my Nvidia Shield. I have enabled debugging. The only thing I can think of here is that it has an IP address of 192.168.4.x while most of my other devices are 192.168.7.x.
I'm ready to give up on this thing. Please get me pointed in the right direction.

We logged into your system.
The SmartRemote clientname had a space - that is not supported.
The SmartRemote myServer address was incorrect.
"To Manually configure:
1. Type on the myServer IP Address box. The on screen keyboard will appear. Type myServer 6's IP address.
2. Next, click on the Project Name box. "smartremote" is the correct default folder name (the folder on myServer's webserver) (type with no quotes). Note this name is case sensitive. So, it's "smartremote", not "SmartRemote".
3. Click on the Clientname field. You can name your remote what you want. For our purposes, we will call it "SmartRemote8". Don't put spaces in the name. Keep the name simple as it will be used in lots of macros and variables.
4. Click the Save button. If you have a second myServer to configure, click on the Server #2 tab and enter that information. Click Save."
The AppleTV driver has not been paired. This is covered in the AppleTV driver documentation.

The myserver controller didn't show up again on the network post a reboot. Not sure why that happened. You may have to research / reboot it locally. Probably the crappy TeamViewer software....
Your network is configured in a non typical manner. Not sure if that is part of the problem. Most use 255.255.255.0 to define the subnet. Yours is larger. Not sure what your DHCP server is using to assign IP addresses. But if this isn't intentional custom settings, you should examine your network configuration. This isn't related to Allonis products.
Hopefully once all is rebooted, it will start working for you.

I have tried rebooting. I had no response from a the local web connection. I tried powering the myserver down but nothing happened when I used the power button. I unplugged it waited apx 20 seconds then plugged it back in. It lights up but no connection. I unplugged the power and ethernet for apx 45 min. When I plugged it in I still can't connect. My eero app shows it as offline.
edit to add: I have tried connecting a different ethernet cable. No change.
As far as my non typical network, it is eero and I have upgraded the hardware a couple times but I don't think I have ever done anything intentional to make it non-typical.

If you don't have a HDMI monitor connected, try connecting one and power cycle / reboot.
re: non typical - it's not the hardware. It's the configuration that is unusual. The subnet is not 255.255.255.0. I think it was 255.255.252.0 or something like that.
That tells me someone set it for a non typical setting...which is fine, as long as that person understands networking when adjusting settings like that.
But that's not why the myServer controller isn't booting.

Thanks for your time and patience. I was finally able to reboot while connected to a monitor and the system is up and running again.
