I still can't get this thing to work

What I don't understand is why those are even there if they aren't in my drivers.

Might have been old information? Delete all that aren't going to be used. Clean it up for organization.

That leaves me with this


The tv and shield aren't there.

And then there is the My designer. I still can't do anything in the video. I found the right template to follow along (I think I don't think it is ever mentioned) but I can't even do the first step which is add an image. At this point I don't even care that the weather app shows the weather in the video but doesn't in mine. I just want to add a photo. I've tried about 20 times.
 

Renaming the TV by taking the spaces out got it listed in the Sources & Apps By Room page but renaming the Shield did not help.

Generally:
1) you add your room names
2) you add your device drivers for your hardware from Software Updater
3) you add your devices in the corresponding driver
4) you add your device to a room

That's the right steps, in the right order.
Please ask other myDesigner questions in their own thread (in the myDesigner section)
You don't need to do anything in myDesigner unless you want to customize the out of the box user templates.
Get the Allonis provided templates fully working first.  Then make it more complicated.
