We swapped the Hard button Home commands so short press = go to the SmartRemote home and Long press = tell the Shield to go to Home. Let us know if this improves your experience.
You would have to put a IP2IR GlobalCache to control the HTP-1 via Infrared as the Monoprice engineering team did not enable power on via ethernet. Allonis can reverse engineer this if someone finds it worth the development time and expense (like a few hours worth). We did enough reverse engineering today on your system to confirm that this is doable.
I have the IP2IR but thought it would be best to hold off. Not sure why the HTP-1 doesn't power on because it does from the phone.
when you say "it does it from the phone" are you talking about the embedded webbrowser page on the HTP-1? I assume yes...that's what has to be reverse engineered...
Follow up question. If I did pay for an HTP-1 driver would that include all the features like volume on the screen and other 2 way info? Or are you just talking about power?
