I still can't get this thing to work

Thanks for all the work. It has been frustrating for me (and probably you dealing with me) but I just powered on my TV, Shield and HTP-1 and it worked.

Now that all of this is up and running I'll try adding the AppleTV later today or tomorrow.

I'm back at it. I did search documentation and the web before asking.

I'm trying to add the AppleTV. When I get to: "Open up a new terminal window and grab the text displayed in the textbox that starts with atvremote and ends with pair. Copy and paste this text into the terminal window you just opened." I assume you mean Utilities -> Linux Terminal* because I don't see a "terminal" anywhere else. When I try that I get a sad face and refused to connect message.

I have restarted the server and done an Empty Cache and Hard Reload in Chrome.

I am assuming that I can ignore these:

If you are running myServer on your own hardware you will have to manually install the Python and the ATVRemote software on your controller.

Please make sure you are performing these operations from the same PC that myServer is running on.

What computer are you running the terminal window to connect to the appletv? must be myServer (not your desktop pc).

I was hoping that wasn't the case. I have been using my PC for everything. The myserver is tucked away with no mouse or keyboard.

Would connecting to the myServer host via ssh be a viable option ?

Yes, I do it all the time.. I just setup a new ATV and the instructions work great. You need terminal access to the myserver, how you get it is your choice (keyboard/display) or SSH.

Or...the Terminal Option on the dashboard....the thing I never realize existed
