Working backlight ETA?

Sounds like you have not upgraded to the latest smartremote.apk. Follow the instructions carefully.

MyServer is up to date.   I have something in software updater called AndroidTV Devices and it is up to date.   In the Anroid devices driver page the SmartRemote is there and appears properly configured.

Thanks David.   I successfully uninstalled the APK but I'm stuck on Step 8 - "Soon, you should see the SmartRemote app icon on the SmartRemote"  The app icon is not re-appearing after I follow the install procedure.  I even waited overnight.  I have no idea how to get it back.

If you are looking at the home screen waiting for the SmartRemote icon to appear try swiping up from the bottom of the screen to check if the app is in your app drawer instead.

OK looks like it was installed but not pinned to the home screen.   I still don't have a way to change backlighting when I press the 3 dots.  Will work backwards and try to figure it out.
