Rackmount myServer - whole server unresponsive

The only links that worked were the "Master Image" links. If you are updating the packages, it makes sense why they were not working.

Thanks Andrew. Now that I've finally gotten my VM networking issues sorted on my rhel based server I can start up a Debbie VM and play around. Think I'll try it with and without desktop, I'm pretty sure Chris above is using it successfully without DE.

Yes.  Not sure it matters, but I am also using Ubuntu.  I started from:  ubuntu-22.04.3-live-server-amd64.iso

Oh, well since I haven't started configuring it yet maybe I'll burn it down and start from minimal server instead. Thanks - the less stuff that's running on a server the happier I am.

Any reason you're using 22.04 instead of 24.04 or did you do a dist-upgrade after standing it up ? 

Mostly the same packages but I think the Ubuntu repo has more ?? Than the debian repo. Definitely more up to date packages in the Ubuntu repo.
