How goes Harmony Hub implementations?

My Harmony implementation is working perfectly.
I have been following this post and have not updated my server. I am on 6.7.3396.29737. Since everything is working well, does it make sense for me to refrain from updating myserver and harmony until the issues are resolved?

No need to update things that are all working fine.
Just know that if you do update "one thing", then you should update "all things" as the software has to be in unison.
And sometimes the user interface commands / variable names change so that requires update to the template.  Which you can get the out of the box template from myServer's Software Updater (after renaming the downloaded file to "smartremote") but if you make customizations, then you might have to rejigger if there was a change to var names / commands with the software update.  But that is more exceptional now that things are getting more stable.  Like you have seen, for most, it's just "working".

And, your example is a quandry on why do most work, but not all if both groups are using "out of the box" configurations....will need to deep diving to figure that one out.

If it were me, I would be moving stuff off of Harmony Hub completely and onto native myServer drivers.  Use Harmony Hub for devices that myServer doesn't support natively.  Your user interfaces will be more intuitive (customizable), and less pieces in the chain for reliability.

I may well end up doing this.  Though it is not what I intended when I purchased the remote - I bought it primarily for the Harmony integration.   Not very happy about having to also purchase a Global Cache £145 IP2IR solution when in theory I already have a IP2IR solution in the form of the Harmony Hub,   Ultimately, I may have to however.

I will sit tight for now and see how the new Harmony driver runs once you release it.

I originally thought I would need three Global Cache IR devices to migrate off of my three Harmony hubs. However, with being able to migrate devices from IR control to IP (network) control I only need one Global Cache device to replace one of my Harmony hubs. 

Just a heads up. There is a major Harmony driver update coming tomorrow. It is going through internal review right now. The driver has been completely re-written and it now exposes new functionality. More detail tomorrow once it gets released. Stay tuned.

Great, really excited about this. Will give it a test run as soon as I can once updated and will report back.

Meanwhile my bargain of the year (Global Cache ITach IP2IR for just £20) has turned up and is working and on the network. Given I have had to buy off-the shelf emitters (it came with no cabling at all), will be spending the evening seeing if I can get it to work with my AV kit.
