Dave,
I have a question:
How do I ensure I’m using the latest and greatest smartremote template after I update from within MyDesigner?
Do I copy all the newly downloaded smart remote-sample files into the existing smartremote folder?
Could you provide step by step instructions?
Thanks.

Yes, understood.  The main reason (now) I am sticking with Harmony is that the 'activities' do a perfect job of turning everything on and setting all inputs correctly and it keeps track of everything powered on so that the 'power off' function works well.

I know I can do that with native IP2IR but the thought of creating macros to turn all of those devices and, change the inputs, whilst creating variables to keep track of what is on so that the power off function turns them all back off again... that's definitely a project for 'another day'...

I would find a guidelines / suggested practices documentation section for configuration of power on/off and input selection very helpful.

With the new driver - how do I refresh the list of Harmony devices/activities? I added a new activity to Harmony (appears in the Harmony app) but does not appear in the list of activities on the dashboard.

Restarting myServer should be enough to do it. When the driver loads as soon as it connects to the hub the very first thing is does is a complete sync. Anything new should automatically be added. If it does not do that then I will remote in and look.

Feedback - with the new driver I am so far getting rock solid connectivity.  No loss of connection at all since installation.  Works perfectly.  I have managed to map the commands I want to the hard buttons / soft buttons and various macros in MyDesigner and it all works flawlessly so far.  Very pleased.  The new driver makes it seem that my goal of retaining Harmony at the centre of my home automation setup is more than realistic.  I still have the Global Cache iTach IP2IR on standby, but so far I have not needed to migrate over to it (however sensible it might be to do so!)

I was on the verge of giving up with Harmony prior to the driver change.  Now back on track.  Thanks!
