Many thanks.  Instructions successfully followed.  Remote now has working backlight timer function, screen timeout enabled and 'find remote' produces a chirp I could hear from the next street.  Brilliant - many thanks!

It's interesting that FindMyRemote is working for you. It's not a huge deal for me but I've never been able to get any of my remotes to respond when I issue that command.

works for me (obv remote name varies).
