We had the Kickstarter survey 4 days ago. I expect we're all feeling equally impatient.

Maybe, so
but before the kick starter ended he answered question and gave updates regularly. And it's my first kick starter then I look at things like

www.kickstarter.com/projects/ovomotetech...versal-smart-control

I don't think we need to know what he had for lunch everyday, but simple updates that work is progessing

Thanks

In my experience your typical Kickstarter campaign can go weeks or even months between updates. But then they usually have much longer timescales after the campaign closes.

I've backed 34 Kickstarters and zero (maybe one) of those have turned out to be a scam. One didn't deliver most of the rewards but that was possibly because they were over-ambitious rather than scammy. There were a lot of disappointed backers and accusations flew but I think they were just a badly run organisation that overestimated 3rd party investment they'd be able to get on the back of the Kickstarter campaign. They eventually offered to refund people's pledges but didn't make much effort to let people know about the offer.

A couple of others ran really late (like years late) and didn't deliver everything they originally promised but at least eventually delivered something usable.

All the rest have been fine. Maybe I've just been lucky, or maybe I'm careful not to back perpetual motion machines and other too good to be true junk campaigns.
