If you want to copy your usb stick to a larger flash drive use the SD Card Copier utility that is found in the Accessories menu on the Pi. Make sure you select the correct copy from and to devices. Do not create new partition UUIDs. Once the copy is done shut down the pi and remove the original usb stick and then boot off the new one.

There already is a FireTV default setup...not sure if that meets the need but if it's technically possible on AndroidTV via ADB of what you are asking...then it's very likely possible.
Right now I use gugutab / TvOverlay on shieldtv show volume changes from my Marantz
I don't know what that is...but if we have a Marantz driver...then you can see / operate the volume level very likely without all the extra "stuff"

I mean like a overlay on top of what ever is being played that could be used for event when the remote may not be right in your hand.
photo is what I'm talking about I set that up. Home assistant looks for volume changes on my marantz reciever then sends messages to via mqtt to overlay app running on nvidia shield.

And my remote came today looks and feels great can't wait to start playing around with it.
