Hmmmm, I just noticed that one of the remotes was still on. I went back into the Display options and the 30 second option was no longer checked. Something is "unchecking" the option.

I have a similar experience to yours with one of my two SmartRemotes not turning off the screen. This behavior most likely started after I installed the latest Android driver update, but I can't say for certain that is the order things happened in, I checked Display options tonight on my two remotes. The one that was not turning off the screen had the time out unchecked. The other remote had the timeout checked. It appears I have experienced the same scenario you have, but only on one of my two remotes.

I'm still getting random display timeout issues (Basically the timeout setting gets unchecked while the device is sitting idle). What would be causing the setting to get unchecked? I can exit smartremote and set the setting manually...it's then good for some period of time.

One other observation, the "about" screen buttons to set the wake on motion or time setting still don't work.

???? any ideas?

I am going to remote into your controller to look. I suspect out of sync javascript. I'll update once I've looked.

Update:

I confirmed that there was a JavaScript issue. the fxApp.js file was old. This was nothing you did wrong. I traced the problem back to the sample project that ships with the Designer. I missed updating the fxApp.js file and that would have broken things when the Designers' "Update Project" button got pressed.

I fixed the fxApp.js in your smartremote folders. The backlights should be behaving properly now.

The SmartRemote sample template has been updated as well as a version of the Designer which contains the update to date Javascript.

I'm still having an issue where the display timeout turns off about once a day. I exit smartremote...set it, and it's good for a day. Rinse and Repeat
