I've deleted and reconfigured that driver a couple of times now and it's been the same every time, but I guess I could try it again.
that doesn't sound right...we use that driver is LOTS of commercial installs and have not had any negative response. I don't have an AppleTV here to test.
No I mean every click of the directional arrow or selecting something. It's painfully slow, but I was waiting for others to try it out to see if it was just me or if everyone had the same issue. I figured I've reported enough issues so far
I assume you are talking about the process to register takes a few seconds (a one time process) and not the every click using the smartremote to control the AppleTV hardware (that should be near instant).I can confirm it does work. But I will say the appleTV driver is extremely slow for me. It takes 2-3 seconds per click for it to register. If you get it running let me know if it's slow for you as well.

I experience the same issue. I had no issue authenticating myServer with the ATV but with around a three second delay between button presses it is painfully slow to the point of being unusable.

Note: The current integration uses the python pyatv project. it is command line driven. when you press a button it spawns an atvremote terminal command and that causes pyatv to connect to the remote appletv,, authenticate, and then send the command. The time is measured in tens of milliseconds. Soon Allonis will rewrite the python project into native c#. It will then become more responsive. No established timeframe for this to be done. In the interim, you can control it via Infrared if it's not snappy enough for your needs.

No can do with infrared as my ATV is in a server rack in a different room. No LOS is possible.

Is it possible to use the Bluetooth in the harmony hub to drive the ATV commands ?
I'm going to piggyback off of my harmony for the first while until more drivers get built and released.
