Working backlight ETA?

This requires an update to the SmartRemote.apk.  No that a lot of the fires are calming down we can begin giving this more attention.

If the dust is indeed starting to settle I would be highly appreciative if this could move up the priority list!

Hey Dave can you give an update on how things are going with this?

I was totally consumed by writing a very complicated device driver for the last three weeks. Consequently, the SmartRemote update did not get finished. Now, I have to relocate out of my residence for two weeks while water leak repairs are done. Anyway, the good news is that I will concentrate on a lot of software updates over the next two weeks with the SmartRemote being highest priority.

It's all good. The remote isn't going anywhere, but leaky pipes wait for no man.

Sorry you have to relocate because of this. Been there, done that.

Any update?  It's getting a bit frustrating walking into the Family Room and seeing the remote screens blazing away.  The Turn Off if Charging hack is very unreliable.
