That's odd, I've only ever had it fail once in the many months since I came up with the hack. And I use it daily so it has lots of chances to fail. There wasn't anything useful in the log when it failed unfortunately but since it only happened the once I didn't really spend much time on trying to figure out what happened.

It's odd...the screen will come on while sitting in the charger. Lifting it and placing it back down doesn't turn it off. When this happens, usually rebooting the server fixes the issue. I really hope a fix comes out where the dimming behavior is remote-driven.

Rebooting the server typically does nothing.
Is there ANY vibration to the SmartRemote that is waking it up? Only a tad is needed.
Ensure whenever you are rebooting the server that you are doing it gracefully (a power cycle will corrupt the boot drive).

The Restart is via the Allonis Web App button. There could be a vibration waking it up. Again, it would be nice to get that fixed. While in the charger, don't wake up, or give us the option to choose the behavior. For me, if it's in the charger, I want the display black.

Back to the original question. Do you have an update on when the changes will be available? The last we heard was that it was a top priority and would be soon.

I don't care about an exact date, just a rough estimate would be great. In a week, month, year....etc.
