PS - as a user I can see where Casa is coming from. It's frankly bewildering to someone new to the platform and the speed at which someone can get up to speed depends on their familiarity with web-development and scripting. Those with some sort of professional background in computing fare far better. I have no professional background but have always enjoyed tinkering, but even that is not enough sometimes here.
It is good to be part of a kickstarter and the dynamic generally works well (we get a great product early and you get early user feedback), but yes there are areas where I am struggling to get basic info:
eg:
- I am unclear on how the scripting language works - I've had to amalgamate my knowledge from a youtube video here, a forum comment there, a document page there),
- I am unclear how to create new Macros on myserver that I can easily call from the remote (I am currently typing in long lines of commands into every button press 'Macro|...!...!...' when I would just like to call one command to run a regular Macro).
- I would like proper documentation on automations (the worked example is helpful to a point).
On top of this, I am coming up against bugs and niggles in the software.
None of this is a complaint (I fully understand the nature of a new developing product), just a FYI. I appreciate I am becoming a regular poster on here- I am working on the assumption that reporting my difficulties amounts to useful feedback for you...
Many thanks as ever.

I suspect you already know, but you can't have duplicate IDs for two devices. myServer strives to not allow this when you edit / create a new device.

This document requires lots of clean up but all the basics are in there.

Feel free to report any bugs you find. As specific as you have ie: log snippets.
As there are over a million lines of code, a few bugs is always possible

Your question on PAUSE usage there is an example of that in this documentation link.
