I'm afraid in my opinion the product isn't really suitable for use by end users, unless you are technical on the level of a custom installer. The company's main business seems to be full service installations in sports bars and similar and dealing with consumers isn't high on their radar.

Oh I agree, no other real choices that I have found.

I would say that I’m not an expert at technical level, but I have the skills necessary to do what is needed. If the documentation was it better it would be a lot easier.

That being said, fighting through the lack of clear documentation will only make me strong stronger in my knowledge of the system.

The problem I have is it shouldn’t change every day a different problem follow the instructions and it still doesn’t work, maybe that’s because the instructions are incomplete and I haven’t found the other piece of information that is actually needed to complete and set up this product.

I understand that I don’t know what I don’t know, but I’ve been building computers. Doing some programming I went to school for avionics, etc..

I’m not afraid of a challenge and I’m not afraid to learn, but this process is exhausting.

It makes no sense if the android TV driver works perfectly with my fire cube in the remote, but my other two devices don’t work with the remote, but everything test from the device testing section of the drivers menu.

And now all of a sudden, every time I turn the remote on, I have to repair the fire TV with the server. I don’t have any other problems on my network with any other devices, but maybe there’s something sensitive about this product.

Why had it worked for the last couple of months while I was fighting through the other devices and finding the documentation necessary to complete them and now all of a sudden, the one thing that did work stopped working? I am smart enough not to make adjustments when something is working.

Sorry, I’m rambling so frustrated.

I feel like I need to do a full reset and start over, knowing now what I’ve learned over the past couple months I feel like getting to where I am today would be much more direct and maybe some of the learning mistakes I made before are causing these issues.

Before I ran into the fire TV pairing issue when I pressed the commands in the driver test pages, everything that was working properly as far as I can tell don’t produce errors or a log entry. and what didn’t work on the remote did not produce an error. Just nothing.

I am having problems finding what I believe to be the exact activity log. Is that under the utility menu? I feel like at one time another log popped up that showed each button push as it occurred and I am not finding that right now.

Anywhere I would be more than happy to do a full reset and start over.

Some comments based on your last post.

When a device, like the FireTV Cube, maps the return or home button for it's own use, a long-press of either will return you to the room.  A blue indicator will light up when a successful long-press has been detected.  But be careful.  An extra-long-press of the home button activates the Num Lock, changing the keys to a numeric keypad.  If that happens, an extra-long-press of the home button will turn Num Lock off again.

After updating myServer, or the OS, go to the dashboard.  Right-click on the background, and choose Inspect.  Right-click on Chrome's reload button, and select Empty Cache and Hard Reload.  This is not always necessary, but it doesn't hurt.

I don't own a FireTV Cube.  You can ask in that section of the forum for more help with that device.  A Google search for ADB issues with the FireTV Cube might help.

There are a lot of people here who helped me get my system setup.  The more specific you can make your question, especially if you can include info from the log file, the more likely you are to get a helpful response.

In the middle of the dashboard there is a slider to turn on logging.  You can then check the box to enable verbose logging.

At the bottom of the dashboard is a button for the Live Event Log.  Allonis is in the process of changing how the Live Event Log is implemented, so that button might not be there or might not work.  The log file itself is stored in the mySever/logs folder.

I knew I saw it before I just wasn’t sure how I got there. Thank you.

Can I download and share the live events? Do the live events go into the Master log under utilities?
