Remote backlighting not working?

To be honest i’m not sure if it happens all the time.  It looks like it works on a random basis as I was just testing it again.  Sometimes, it is not very long and then sometimes it doesn’t go off at all.   The third scenario I have that you can try,  is when I get in to an application i.e Roku, select a channel to watch something start a program, then hit the home button to go back the index page then back into Roku the smartremote shuts completely off.  It happened a number times within trying it in 10 mins.

when you are saying "completely shuts off" Do you mean you have to restart the AndroidOS (power button on the side)?  Never saw that happen
Or are you saying that the power button (top middle) function is invoked?   See the command that your remote is assigned to in myDesigner Roku.html button programming.

I had to use the right side button to restart the remote.  As described above when I go back into the channel page of Roku from the home page after a show has started on a channel the screen will go black.  Trying other buttons will do nothing.  I hold the right side button until I see the Allonis logo and let go but sometimes it will still go black and I have to try the right button again.

I just did another 20 minute test and it is pretty random.  One time I was in a channel, Prime, just scrolling down the screen and the remote stopped scrolling and then went black(turned off).  I had to use the ride side button to start the remote.  Another time I was coming from the remote Home page back into the Roku channel page and the remote turned off.

I haven't seen that happen before.
See if you can trap the issue in the myServer Log on what was going on.

I see an:  ERROR. .  AndroidTV.SendComand - Error in SendCommand - An error occurred while reading a response from ADB: closed

I was in the Channel Prime scrolling from the top using the down key on the ring of the remote.  The scrolling stop for about 10 - 15 second then the remote turn off.

I did notice a few more commands were sent after the error was logged.

They were DEBUG Server.doCommand - AV
and Roku.doCommand - Cmd=[6~Select] Client =[remote8]
and some setVariable | smartremote_charging doCommands

So I started the remote and when it got to the home page I selected the Roku icon and I got another error exactly the same as above with no additional commands and the remote shutoff again.
