Samsung BE55 TV suitable for myServer 6?

For anyone reading this in the future I now have the answer, at least for my 2023 S95C's (and likely most other 2023 sets besides possibly lifestyle sets like The Frame). The Tizen driver will likely lead to frustration due to the way it uses macros to select inputs from the on screen menus. The driver for older Samsung tv's connects without issue and is vastly preferable since it supports discrete input codes. This is both much faster and more reliable, with the added bonus that you don't have to look at menus popping up on your screen each time you want to switch source devices.

Yes sir, this is IP. I have several of these sets scattered around the house and I'm trying to avoid IR like the plague. It's especially problematic for me in the sunroom during the day and this will solve the problem beautifully without having to resort to IR bugs.

And can you turn the TV on from standby via IP command? Ours dates from 2013 and I think it shuts down the network connection in standby so we'd have to use IR at least for that.

Hi, the "driver" shouldn't be doing anything with menus popping up - other than the desired one time authentication popup that once you agree (with the handheld remote control) shouldn't further popup.  And the driver doesn't switch inputs.  There is other software that might be doing that.  So, something else might be at play.

Oh man you're right. I already had the set turned on so I could accept the authentication request, and when I was testing sending commands I turned it off and then on again. This worked because the tv hadn't been in standby long enough to kill the lan port. 

I'll have to look into this further.
