Wakes my wife up every time :)

But in all seriousness (kinda), this is the largest challenge with getting folks up and running.  MUCH simpler to just read, click, next until the documentation is done than poking around, guessing, reinstalling, guessing, forum posts, wait for an answer, guess again, reinstall yet again....
The great majority of the systems we have looked at haven't followed any documentation.

None of this is by magic.  It all has to be setup in a very particular way.  NO way is someone going to guess with such of a capable end to end system.

Ok that's my rant for the day!!

If I can just make a suggestion, the long text form of some of the documentation makes it hard to follow... bullet points, or spacing between each step is easier to follow... numbering the steps might also help...

Replied by Will Barrett on topic Sources & Apps not showing up in the dashboard?
I'm having this same issue.  My sources and apps are blank.  I've read the guides and watched the videos to make sure I'm following instructions.  I've setup new users, new rooms, and download drivers then setup devices.  It doesn't seem to have pre-populated any sources.  I can try to manually create a source and they icon will show on the smartremote, but I don't have an activation macro and it doesn't do anything.  Any ideas?

Edit:  Going off another post, I changed the AndroidTV drive for my shield from type "Shield" to "ShieldTV" and then the Shield showed in my sources and apps list.  Similarly, I changed the bluray IR driver for my Panasonic from "Player" to "BluRay" and it populated the sources.  Now when I try to go to my remote, I see an icon for the shield and my bluray player, but the buttons don't do anything when pressed.
