Home Button Behavior

I am having a problem with the Home button on my remote.

A long-press of the button takes me back to the Room, as expected.  But sometimes the blue light indicating a long-press comes on quickly, and other times I have to let go of the button, wait a moment, and try again.

I suspect it is a hardware problem with my remote, but am curious if anyone else has noticed this.

BTW, I discovered that a long press of the Return button does the same command.  That one behaves consistently, and as expected.  My solution is to stop trying to use a long-press of the Home button.

That behavior is set in your configuration by using the Designer program.

In the designer, the hard "Home Button" can be configured differently for each device page of your project. If that Home Button configuration is blank, then the project's default (Project -> Properties) for the hard Home Button will apply.

So what does your hard Home Button indicate for a short press and for a long press? (open the individual device page (the base page), and double click on the hard Home Button).

I am pretty sure it is not a configuration issue.

The concern is that how long I have to hold the button before a long-press is recognized is vastly different from press to press.

The issue seems to be unique to the Home button.  The Return button is behaving reliably, consistently, and as configured.

This may be a question for David Li (Allonis support). But I expect he will still want to know what command(s) you are sending with that home button.

There is no difference of Home vs. any other button other than what you have configured in myDesigner as the button action.  You could make any other button a "Home" button.  So, look in detail of what is being sent when you click the Home button as it is configured now.

David, isn't the home button unique in that it is the only button that will turn on/off the "num lock"?
