Reset to default settings was created by Thomas Wheeler
Hi,

I wanted to redo my server and wifi settings on the Remote but whenever I start the Remote it goes to a blank white page.  What I would like to do is reset the Remote back to the default settings and start from scratch.

Thank you,
Tom

I would also like to know how to do this. Can I just delete the data and cache from the smartremote.apk in order to redo the initial setup?

Are you able to get to the Android desktop?
You can delete all data / cache from the smartremote.apk to start over.
Don't delete the apk as that will cause you to go through more gyrations that aren't needed.

Very important to follow the documentation step for step and don't skip steps.

And the docs are still a work in progress.

No,  I'm not able to get to any page on my remote.  The Allonis page comes up and the particle page comes up.  The Google url and 4 bottom icons come up for about 1 second and then a white page comes up and my remote is locked up.  The only thing I can do from this point is to shut down or restart the remote. If I turn it back on I go through the same scenario as described.  Is there another way to reset the Remote?

Thanks,
Tom

Here are the sequence of events: AndroidOS boots. OS launches smartremote.apk. If there is a Startup configuration tab setup, it will go to the defined webpage on the defined myServer. If these two aren't setup right (wrong IP, wrong template name), then you will get a "white page". If this happens, delete the data / cache from the smartremote.apk in the Android OS Apps list.

Just tested this issue and we see the problem.  I'll post back a solution.

Because the pages change so fast to white I am unable to get to the reset page.
