Working backlight ETA?

I have followed the documentation and I have on my about.html the settings to change the backlight settings but when I "press" the button to enable it, it recognises the press. but nothing happens - I assume that a tick ,dot or x should appear in the box.

So you ForcedUninstall the old apk and installed the very latest smartremote apk from today's myServer?

Yes I did it this morning. Seemed to go as described but when I press the 3 dots button I get the option to turn backlight on and to adjust the on time.They seem to respond to a press as they flash but like I said nothing stays in the box to indicate it has been selected

High probability that the fxApp.js file is cached and you're not picking up the new version.

As a test.
Notepad the index.html file in the smartremote project folder.

Find the line that looks like 
<script src="js/fxApp.js?ver=1127626312"></script>

and bump the version number like
<script src="js/fxApp.js?ver=1127626400"></script> 

ver can be anything just so long as it is different.

Exit the smartremote app on the remote and then relaunch it. Let me know if that worked for you.
