Lol.. seeing what you've done with the smart remote, you would be very competent with ha these days.
They've gotten it so nearly everything can be configured using the UI, yaml coding is still an option but no longer a requirement unless you're adding things that don't have integrations.
Just figured it may be a viable stop gap for you while allonis gets their integrations sorted. 🍻

Thanks brother that sounds excellent! I'll take another look at it this weekend.

Maybe I can finally figure out how to integrate my coffee machine while I'm at it. That was why I originally considered HA in the first place, and I most definitely can't do that natively in myServer...yet. First world problems! lol

I'm old enough to remember the first coffee pot online. Probably the first or at least one of the first 'internet of things' device. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trojan_Room_coffee_pot

I have a Jura E8 superauto. Not cheap but they make fabulous coffee machines.

For grins I looked into it again last night and it's still not practical to integrate it into an automation platform as some physical modification would be required to power it on remotely. Also, I didn't really think about the big picture when I originally thought of this because it automatically runs a rinse cycle at power up to ensure the lines are clean. My dreams of waking up to a perfectly prepared latte have been shattered again lol
