Dave, I'm pretty sure I sent an email with my list of devices. From what I can tell most in my list are already supported - except for the most important one (Sony AVR ES STR-AZ1000ES).
If you guys do have a list, putting it on the Forum would be helpful.
Thx

The good news it's relatively simple to write.

Note that the driver will be one way only - no status as this is really like sending IR codes over IP.www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=37887

That's VERY disappointing to hear. Wish I would've known that before buying in. I was hoping for an all in one system so I could eventually move away from harmony and home assistant but if I get less functionality from myserver/smart remote than the other two working together... Guess you live and you learn.

Well thats the fault of monoprice. Thats what their protocol on quick look in the manual supports. We will know more when we dig in. Same should be true for any control system. If you find an alternative protocol let us know. It should be better than IR for reliability, but not any more function since it's essentially "sending IR codecs" over IP.
You can write a status variable to mimic a status message reply on each button you put on a myServer webpage. So, if all is reliable, then it should appear like it has status messages. So, if you aren't doing that in Harmony or HA, then this is better than what you have today.
But don't blame it on the control system.

I have two way information with ha, probably a dozen or so sensors it can monitor through the webapi. Problem with ha is it doesn't have an integration for the htp so it doesn't have genuine "entities" thus being a little bit of a kludge.. plus the fact that I need to have a phone, tablet or other device in hand to see the info. I was really hoping the smart remote would take the place of the harmony and phone so I could focus more on the media than checking/using devices.
