Looks like that device runs Kodi?  there will be a Kodi driver ported over from myServer 5 version.  That should give you full control over the experience.  Better than a Bluetooth "keyboard" implementation.  There really isn't much reason for bluetooth.  There is no intentional restriction of what bluetooth devices could pair with the SmartRemote.  It's "just" Android OS.  But all of the logic and integration is on the myServer side so that has to be figured in on what device needs to be bluetooth connected (myServer or the Remote).  

 

Except Bluetooth is usually more complete (at least on Harmony) vs IR/IP.  Will the Kodi driver support all the keys/buttons so they can be mapped as desired in Kodi?

Better using IP.  Bluetooth isn't supported with Kodi.

I've been using BT with OSMC Kodi for 2 years now just fine.  Harmony uses a keyboard BT profile so just about every key known to man is available once paired.  If you don't like a default mapping in Kodi simply change it in the Keymap Editor.

Well if that's all you have been able to do, then you really will like the myServer IP driver when it's available.

I just published the Anthem driver, a myServer update and an update to the SmartRemote project. Smart remote adds generic pages for AVRs and TVs.

Anthem was tested against an AVR 70. Please report any Anthem issues you come across. Please review the entire Anthem documentation article. It contains everything that you need to know. 

I'm curious, will there be any support for controlling Windows PCs in general?  I run most of my media and front end software for my home theater through my PC.  This includes my streaming device (AppleTV4K) through an open source app called VideoProcessor which allows for use of MadVR on the streaming device.  I see a Kodi IP based driver is coming which I presume will work on the HTPC as well but a broader driver for controlling a windows PC would be ideal for other programs and windows commands (e.g. run a batch file to change desktop resolution.. etc.). 

For now, I've been dabbling a bit with publishing MQTT messages from MyServer6 which I pick up in Node-Red to connect the SmartRemote to other hardware (i.e. windows PC, Apex for JVC control, etc.).  This has been working pretty well but brings me to my second question - Second question - I see MyServer5 has some documentation listed for Node-Red.  Will this be available for MyServer6 at some point?  If so, is it just to install Node_Red on the machine running MyServer6 or does it offer a series of nodes from allonis that allow for direct control of the server and to react to server messages? 

Appreciate the insight!  I'm having fun stumbling my way along in building out a functioning remote and am really excited about the evident potential for an awesome system when this all comes together.

Yes, the Kodi driver will support "any" Kodi instance on "any" OS that Kodi is compatible with. Assumes ports are enabled and on same network of course.
