In the past you have mentioned a WEB based myDesigner. This would be great for non-Windows users. You also mentioned enhancing the HA integration, where HA could control myServer. It's less of an issue for me now with a VM, but the Backup Server function is still missing. Voice is still not implemented. It's a button on the remote, but it doesn't do anything. The Stay Alive function is currently implemented through workarounds. Having it work at a system level would be great.

This is just a top of the head dump... nothing is critical, they were just things talked about in the past as future features/functions.

Web myDesigner - a very large project. Most of which done. More to do.
HA Integration - you should be able to have HomeAssistant trigger stuff in myServer now if you are comfy with how HA does stuff. Use the myServer command line.
Backup - latest myServer introduced Allonis cloud backup. In the Subscriptions tab.
Voice - another large project. We had some time to dink with this a few months ago, but nothing to share yet

Stay Alive - this is likely a smaller project but hasn't hit top of priority yet. TVGuide / TVListings took priority.

Thanks! But you bring up a point. How do we know the latest myServer update introduced Allonis Cloud Backup? We see updates happen, but there are never release notes. Maybe I just missed it, but I haven't seen them.

My add around Backup was redundancy/failover (The Server Data Replication function under the Management tab). We have backups today...mine happen nightly to my NAS.

So here is my wild ass idea.. This relates to HA. How about we forget about the remote all together. Hardware is a PITA. If myServer was a fully integrated HA integration, I could leverage the voice functionality via my Google devices to control my home theater. "Hey Google, Activate TV ON" TV ON is the power on Macro on myServer.

Remote...I don't need no stinking Remote!!!

If I could run myserver macros via HA, I could do 95% of the functions via voice and touch the remote very little.

Personally I would like to see a better media server implementation that doesn't require me to run Emby Server on the myServer box. I would also like to see a high availability/failover solution at some point.

This is turning into a good discussion! One comment I have is you might want to wait to abandon that remote should voice control be fully implemented.

I already have implemented Allonis Voice control in my Homeseer Home Automation environment. It works great for turning stuff on, switching inputs, and other setup type commands. However, due to the even minimal lag that voice control has will cause issues when using the transport commands, such as Fast Forward (when you want to stop FF exactly when the commercial ends, for example). Voice commands are also awkward to use when navigating on screen menus or listings.

Unfortunately my current voice command implementation requires going through several remote server systems, which of course adds to the lag. Eliminating having to use some of those multiple systems will help me, and maybe some AI logic could also be helpful. Something I need to work on.
