David
I had not completed setting up myServer before heading out to work. An overzealous relative decided to play with the SmartRemote and because it was not functioning (myServer not fully setup at that time), they believed that they had broken it in some fashion. As such, they performed a factory reset on the remote. He was not able to show me exactly what he did, however, I know that the remote is not as it should be, since the third option when holding the power button is no longer present - I seem to recall a logging option, whereas now only showing restart and shutdown. Is there a simple way to reinitialize the SmartRemote? Or am I good to continue, and I am recollecting incorrectly regarding the third logging option?
Thanks
Tim

Is the battery dead? When you put it on the charger - do you see it's charge state (after a few seconds)?
If you are able to boot it, is it on the Wifi network? Reset that to a static address as per the documentation.
If it's on the Wifi network, do you see the Smartremote app icon? If so, click it.
If it launches, are the settings correct? If not, reset them to talk to the smartremote folder at the myServer IP address.

Connected to wifi network with static address. SmartRemote app is present and functioning.
SmartRemote is shown as connected on the Dashboard. Documentation was followed with the exception of someone fiddling with the SmartRemote.
I have a blank screen (pic attached), second picture shows the two options when holding power button, and third shows dashboard.

Battery is fully charged and charge state displays correctly when back on charger. Is the battery dead? When you put it on the charger - do you see it's charge state (after a few seconds)?

OK. I had a space in the client name on the SmartRemote, it didn't like that. So seems to be functioning and I will continue.
Please tell me if that logging option is supposed to disappear after setup? After unboxing and powering off, I'm certain that I had seen such a function!
Thanks
Tim

Tim, what logging option? in myServer there is logging event window. There is no visible logging in the SmartRemote itself.OK. I had a space in the client name on the SmartRemote, it didn't like that. So seems to be functioning and I will continue.
