Smartremote keeps shutting off

Over the last 3 days I have been doing some testing of the SmartRemote and while using it or just laying it down it will shut off and I will have to reboot it from the right side button.
And it isn’t a screen deactivation.  If I hold the button for one or two seconds it does nothing.  I have to hold the button for 5-10 seconds before anything happens.  And the remote has to reboot completely to come back on.   Sometimes, but not always. I will get an error:  AndroidTV.SendCommand - Error in SendCommand - An error occurred while reading a response from ADB: closed

The errors/blackscreen(remote is off). can happen in the one driver I have set up,Roku, scrolling through different shows within a channel or holding the remote in my hand or laying it down,  very random.   I’d say it has happened at least a couple of dozen times over the 3 days.  It has been over 15% charged at the times it happens.

Has anyone else had this issue or knows how to fix it?

That smartremote shutdown thing is unique.  Something different with your system configuration.

I tried reloading the SmartRemote template and drivers but still having issue.

After a 2 week break, I installed the latest updates for the system.  I noticed a new Roku update and wanted to see what was new,  a new Back button was nice to see.
But then it shut off for some reason.  I did more testing and it shut off another 3 additional times while using it in different applications on the remote.  Seems very random, no pattern that I could see.  Remote is fully charged and was left in the charger for 2 weeks plus.  The remote seems to behave correctly except for the random shutdowns.  I pushed the right side button and I have to hold it in for a few seconds to get it to come back on just like an initial startup.  A 1 or 2 second button push does nothing.
Anyone else have this issue and come up with a solution?
