SmartRemote Update was created by David Li
Published today is a myServer, a SmartRemote Template and a smartremote.apk updates.
What they cover:

Adds a "reset settings" which deletes out myServer connection settings.  Several times users have typed in wrong info and this is the quickest way to put things back on track.

Fixed a logic issue when the SmartRemote is off the network to have the smartremote.apk go to an offline mode and enable ability to "configure Wifi", and "Change Settings" and "Exit SmartRemote" buttons to continue to function.

Adds "Button Cache" functionality:  When the SmartRemote is motionless and goes to sleep (display is black), sometime you must push a button twice for it to execute as the remote isn't on the network yet.  With today's updates, when you pick the remote up, and the screen is then illuminated - clicking a button will put that button action into cache.  Once the remote gets connected to myServer (a "websocket connection"), the button action will then be sent to myServer.  Now what this doesn't do, is have the ability to cache that button push when the smartremote is still asleep (screen is black).  So, if you push a button without picking it up first, then you may still have to push the button twice.

So, to install:
Download and update to latest myServer.  Ensure it's running.
Download and update latest myDesigner (on a Windows PC)
In myDesigner, Update the SmartRemote template(s) you are using.  The latest Javascript will then be added to your existing scenes (that you many have customized).
You can also download the latest default SmartRemote template (and rename it "smartremote" post download).
Install latest AndroidTV Driver from myServer
Add SmartRemote (see AndroidTV docs) to AndroidTV driver (if not already)
If the smartremote.apk has never been updated: do a Forced Uninstall (carefully - follow the SmartRemote installation documentation)
If the smartremote.apk has been updated once or more already, do an Uninstall.  Verify the smartremote icon has disapeared
Once uninstalled, do an Install smartremote from the AndroidTV commands.
Launch the smartremote app on the SmartRemote
Accept all privacy and Add Shortcut when asked
Ensure your SmartRemote is on your network.
Launch the SmartRemote to connect to myServer (if not done automatically by the default settings choice).

And that should be it!

That should catch us up on feature requests!
Enjoy and tell all your friends :)

Thanks David...and the rest of the Allonis Team!!!

I successfully completed the force uninstall.  The remote rebooted, and the smartremote icon is gone.

When I try to do the installation, nothing happens.  This is the only entry in the log:

28/11/2025 11:46:00.46 · DEBUG · Server.doCommand - AV|3~Install~smartremote.apk from dashboard-fx-h6pt

Is there an install command I can run from a terminal window, that might give me more information as to what went wrong?

Answering my own question.  After doing the install, there is no visible feedback.  You must scroll the home screen to find the icon that will perform the initial launch of the smartremote app.  After that, the icon is added to the home screen.
