SmartRemote Won't Power Up was created by PhoenixF15E
I have two SmartRemotes. One is my daily driver and works great. The other one will no longer turn on. Is there some key combination other than the side power button that would force a restart?
I haven't used the non-functioning remote for quite a while and it sits in the cradle. I picked it up to try it out the other day and it wouldn't power up. I swapped cradles, cleaned the contacts, pressed and held the power button on the side, and no change. When it is in the cradle, the cradle light pulsates, so it is connecting to the cradle. I no longer see the remote on the MyServer dashboard nor my router.
The non-functioning remote was the one I used when I first set the system up. This was before the screen would automatically turn off, so I used the power button a lot to turn it off and on. The button feels worn and creaks when used, so I'm not sure if that is causing this issue.

Any help with this?
This remote is completely non-functional. Is there a procedure to fix it at home or send it in for service?
Thanks!

It sounds like maybe the power button is mechanically damaged or the battery refuses to charge. Nothing like that is reasonably user serviceable. You can send it in for us to look at.

Just an update for everyone with a happy ending to this story.
I sent in my remote and it immediately charged up at Allonis! For some reason it wouldn't charge at home. They loaded the latest APK and sent it back.
After fat-fingering the MyServer IP address and a few factory resets to fix that, it's now up and working again.
Thanks David and the rest of the team for the excellent service and great communication!
