Blu-ray IR commands issue

I have configured the Blu-ray as described here:  allonis.com/support/documentation?view=category&id=292
I'm using the Global Cache IP2IR that came with the Allonis package.

When I test IR commands from either the GenericIR or Bluray IR drivers, the commands work perfectly.  Here is what is shown in the Log:
"Control|2~SendIR~Panasonic-DMP-UB Series 4K Players~OPEN/CLOSE from dashboard-fx-48dm"  -- the door opens or closes appropriately

When I use the "Open/Close" button on the Bluray screen/scene of the remote, nothing happens.  Here is what is shown in the log:
"AV|~Remote~Open/Close"
In fact, none of the buttons (on screen or hard buttons) send the IR command.  ... "AV|~Remote~Cursor Left" -- shows in log but does nothing.

The test commands in the IR drivers work to control the bluray player just fine.

Did I miss a step somewhere?

Ok, so after I posted this I realized why it's not working... the device ID is missing in the bluray IR command.  However, I'm not quite sure why it's missing or how/where to add it.

Re-selected the room on the remote and it's working now.(only have one room so didn't think was necessary).  

Check the IR database for your BluRay player driver you hopefully already setup...is OPEN/CLOSE a supported command for that model? Is the IR codec in the database? All need to be true for it to work. The user interface in the SmartRemote template HOPES that the function is available. I suspect not all hardware supports that so no IR codec for the function. It can also be that the IR codec is incomplete...do you have a Open / close tray button on the player's handheld factory remote? If so, it's possible to Learn the IR codec using the GlobalCache IP2IR.

Keep in mind that the webpages in the SmartRemote template are for ALL possible blu ray players.  Not all support all commands.  If you find a command is not available, you can use myDesigner to delete the button (or change the command).

edit, ok I see you didn't choose YOU AND your ROOM.  Yes, it has to be set at least once.  Now that you have set it, you likely don't have to reset it.  but if something doesn't work, then it's good to reset it.  ie: you could have changed a room activation macro to do "something else".  You have to reselect the room for that something else to be enabled.

Yes, it is working perfectly with my bluray player.  The solution was to re-select the room on the remote, which apparently updates the AV device ID for the bluray.  It's working great!

Awesome!!!...but read my responses above as it will help with the next big thing you want to add / do.
BTW, congrats on figuring out what was missing.  Tells me you have the right instincts on how this stuff works.
