David & Co, thanks for your efforts.
So far I have mixed feelings. I know this is a great product, with LOTS of power, but the instructions and software are letting it down.
I can see however, that David is doing a sterling job of supporting as much as he can. This is half the problem, he's a remote control genius, where most of this is Childs play to him, we are entering his world and realising, "WOW there are actually request commands to a server for a simple button push".
David is a genius, I'm happy and frustrated to be here learning.
I just spent nearly 8 hours getting my remote to work rudimentarily, next the fancy stuff.

It is super important to follow the documentation carefully and not skip steps, in order, and don't do any alternative ways.
If you did that, it goes much smoother.

Ah, I don't think I did that part. It's back in the box, I will have another look next weekend.All systems
- Click on Dashboard / Configuration / Owner Information and complete all fields.
- Click on the Dashboard / Configuration / Licensing and click the Activate button at the bottom to activate your license to your Raspberry Pi hardware.
