myServer 6 incomplete shut down of OS

When I initiate a shutdown of my Shelf unit via the dashboard command "Power Off Host" or via a connected display and keyboard the unit appears to only partially shut down. Networking is shutdown (can't access device via HTTP or Ping). However, the power button light remains blue and pushing the power button after waiting several minutes has no effect. The only way to get the unit to restart is to disconnect and reconnect the power. Doing a power down from the dashboard the last few log messages that can be seen in the log viewer are:
27/05/2025 21:48:19.48 · DEBUG · Closing Database...
27/05/2025 21:48:19.48 · INFO · DBUtils.CloseDatabase - Database is being closed
27/05/2025 21:48:19.48 · INFO · DBUtils.DbConn_StateChange - Database state has changed from Open to Closed
27/05/2025 21:48:19.48 · DEBUG · Updater.SoftwareUpdates - Checking for Software Updates
27/05/2025 21:48:19.48 · DEBUG · Updater.SoftwareUpdates - No new updates found
27/05/2025 21:48:19.48 · INFO · Server.PowerOff -
27/05/2025 21:48:19.48 · DEBUG · Closing Program...

For about 2 minutes after the last log message above the system can be pinged, and then network connectivity is lost, but the power button remains blue. Disconnecting and connecting with the power mode switch set to "power up on power available" the unit powers up normally when power is applied. With the power mode switch set to "push power button to power up when power is applied" when power is connected the unit come up with the power button lit red (which I assume is normal), and when I push the power button the button changes from red to blue and the unit powers up and operates normally,

While everything appears to be working once the unit powers up, I would like to have the unit correctly power down as I am going to have a need to power it down multiple times while doing some electrical panel maintenance that may exceed the UPS battery run time. Any input as to something I may have missed in my analysis or how to correct this situation would be appreciated. I did not see anything in the logs after the reboot that seemed relevant to the incomplete power down.

The OS sometimes gets hung by TeamViewer doing something. Eventually it will shut down. Can take 3-4 minutes.  Have patience!  Don't power cycle it.  That will certainly fry the system when you get unlucky.

This reminds me that I've been living dangerously for far too long, and I too am going to be doing some significant electrical work this summer.

I have myServer plugged into an Eaton rackmount UPS. I assume that I can install NUT tools on the DeskPi, or is that crazy talk? Any special considerations I need to take into account?

I believe I have waited 10 minutes or more in each case as I am aware that sometimes shutdowns take longer than expected. I just tried waiting 110 minutes, and the behavior was the same. Any other thoughts?

Maybe it's just 'normal' Raspberry Pi behaviour? I seem to remember this being the case when I was playing with Pi's some years ago before SmartRemote/myServer.
