myDesigner 6 new install doesnt start

Hi,

I've been trying to install myDesigner 6 for a few days now and I've run into the same issue every time... Initially I was using an "unsupported setup" (namely a VM on a Mac or on a server), so I purchased a Windows 11 PC just to run myDesigner, and I have the exact same behavior as before...

It installes without issues, but nothing happens if I try to run it...

Thanks for any light on this.  I tried locating a log or something like that but didnt immediately see anything?

EDIT: I tried installing .NET framework 4.5 or 4.8 and it says its already included in the OS and doesnt install...

Install Teamviewer Host on that win PC and send us an email with your TV ID / password and we'll install it for you and let you know what magic it took.
Highly likely it's a Windows security setting.
Turn UAC to lowest and try to install again.

Any updates to this topic? I have windows 10 in a VM, mydesigner installs without issue but will never launch.
I changed the uac to never with no change in behavior.

Installing in a VM is not supported by Allonis.  If you do this, it is assume you are very comfortable with Operating Systems and Networking and Security.
Ensure you are installing the latest myDesigner as it adds some Microsoft enablers missing from Windows 11.

I tried reinstalling the version from allonis.com/support/documentation/downlo...orials/4-mydesigner6 (it's dated feb 5 2024) on a fresh install of windows 11pro, which is the same file I used for the previous windows 10 attempt. myDesigner still refuses to start, the vm is running on a bridged network connection and can see everything in my network. UAC is set to lowest possible value, all windows firewall is set to off.

David mentioned you need to install MSVC++ Runtime... I tried and it worked on a Win11 VM (Intel). No dice on windows arm.
