Windows 11 Smart App Control Blocking myDesigner6 was created by mshumanmd@gmail.com
Windows 11 Smart App Control started blocking myDesigner6 a couple of weeks ago. Has anyone else had this problem? Has it been reported to Microsoft? As far as I know there is no way to give permission to an individual program. I have to turn off Smart App Control to use myDesigner6.
Thanks,
Mark

Unfortunately, Windows 11 Smart App Control is currently an All or Nothing. There currently is no way to permit individual apps.
I guess we wait until Microsoft gets around to implementing individual app selection in the Smart App Control.
Another wonderful thing Microsoft did: If you turn off Smart App Control, you cannot turn it back on without doing a Windows re-install. Check out Microsoft Windows documentation for the full and current information.

I am able to turn Smart Control back On without reinstalling Windows. I either have to keep it off or turn if off when I want to use myDesigner6 and then turn it back on. I believe I reported the issue to Microsoft when it first occurred, but maybe it will require Allonis to contact Microsoft.

I guess the online documentation I found is out of date then.
I leave if off myself, as I have written a bunch of programs for my own use (which are also flagged), and I do not need a "big brother" watching over me anyway.

I also leave this turned off, and for exactly the same reason. There's no way I'm going to pay a few hundred dollars per year for a security certificate just so I can run a few homebrew programs without them constantly getting put in the naughty bin.I guess the online documentation I found is out of date then.
