Windows Update - Designer now will not work

Bummer, sorry that didn't help. Don't you just love how Microsoft pushes these updates on us that break stuff that used to work? Just pizzes me off. If you find a solution please post here as it might help someone else.

Ok, Fixed it....

Edit - On a second PC I remapped the drive, then started the application...that worked.  I did not run the registry commands in the referenced post.  It appears that once you have a connection, the app is happy.

After running the registry changes and rebooting, it still didn't work.  But... you need to map a drive to your myServer  //name//myServer and it will ask for a password.  Once the mapped drive is established, the application works.

Ugh!!!!  Freaking Microsoft.

I just ran Desginer6 and got the same error. After checking, I realized that Windows was asking for me to re-enter my connection credentials, so the share was not connected. Closed Desginer6, re-entered the credentials, and restarted Desginer6. Everything worked!

BTW - Major Windows updates have a habit of clearing some Windows user settings. For example, my screen background was reset after the update.
