iPad resolution help! was created by allonis@bendavies.eu
Hi Guys,
I'm using an iPad Air 2 with myServer. The (very basic) design/ setup is largely my own - not using the moonlight one.
I get a strange jump/ glitch in the (Allonis blur) background image when changing between pages.
I'm certain this will be due to the resolution being wrong, and scaling going on - and I'd love to fix this once and for all.
The iPad Air 2 has a resolution spec of 1536 x 2048 - but iPad OS takes up some of the screen with the bar at the top.
I'm hoping this isn't a silly question... Feeling like an idiot here - but am sure this is the root of the problem...
What settings should I use for the myDesigner project properties - custom properties section - for this spec of iPad?
(page width/ page height/ scale factors/ scaling) I'd also like to show as much of the cool "blur" image as possible rather than just a corner of it.
Apologies if there is guidance on this somewhere that I've missed...!
Cheers
Ben

Hi Ben,
Copy all settings from Moonlight Tablet.
I would start with that and customize from there.
Starting from scratch puts you into la la land.

Thanks David.
Tried resetting to the Moonlight settings - but that resulted in my setup being twice the size of my screen...
I can't now set it back - changing the settings back to my previous project resolution (2048x1536) seems to save in myDesigner - but doesn't change what I'm seeing on the tablet (despite refreshing and restarting everything...
Any ideas how to set this back - think I may need some help!
Sorry...!

Really stuck here guys.
Following the advised reset of settings - even launching the remote from myDesigner only shows the top left hand part of the screen.
Resetting the project resolution has not restored it.
Any help gratefully received.

Figured it out!
Somehow I'd not ticked "enable app scaling" and "enable desktop scaling" when reverting (I was convinced I had...) - these made the "launch" remote work again from designer.
The web page shortcut on my iPad was still not working properly despite restarting everything, clearing cache etc - so I deleted and recreated the home page shortcut - and it all works again!
So just back to the original problem. I'll perhaps try creating a version of the "blur" background in the exact ipad resolution next - to see if that stops the background jumping on every pageload.
