Anyone had any luck getting the power on/WOL to work?  I found it uses WOL to turn on the TV, but so far I haven't been able to get it to work.  I found this page that describes how to setup the TV and I went through all that:

I don't think there is any magic.
We do this on thousands of LG TVs a year.
The only problem really is each TV has their own way to enable external control.
Most of that is documented in the various LG TV drivers.

And you do need a MAC address for the TV NIC you are using (Wifi / ethernet uses two different MAC) configured in the driver (automatically on Discovery or manually added)

And because it's WOL, the TV has to be on the same subnet as myServer. If you are using Wifi (for example), possibly your Wifi network is a different subnet from your LAN...then it won't work.

I have successfully enabled IP control/WOL.
Use one of these methods:

I used #2 since I have a newer WebOS tv.

I'll have to try and go through that again.  I don't remember if I was asked to reboot the TV or not.  I did try to connect with telnet and that failed.  But I do have IP control enabled because I can turn the TV off with the driver.  I also managed to get Home Assistant to find the TV.

One thing I did find, I tried downloading the LG TV app for my phone, and in that app, when I went to turn it off, it said I wouldn't be able to control it until I turned it back on.

The LG (and other) driver will have a mod shortly that auto adds MAC addresses (again) on Discovery.

Cool, I think I forgot to say, I did notice that was blank and manually added the MAC address of my TV.
