SendText Not Supported

I'm trying to send the "o" key through the Kodi driver via IP to bring up Player Process Information on my Ugoos box running CoreElec.

Looking at the available Kodi commands in the driver there is a Sendtext function that looks like it would do exactly what I want, but it says "not supported."  Is there any reason this isn't supported?

I was hoping for this functionality as well.  With Kodi, you can edit the keymap file and make any key send any command.  Combine that with the ability to send a keystroke from the remote and you can do anything.

Exactly. I tried using the undocumented test function and that didn't seem to work either.
