Main Menu, Directional buttons, etc

Hi, I just got a JVC projector and have been working to integrate with myServer/smartremote. I'm wondering what people think the best solution for controlling the projector and accessing the full remote controls, such as the main menu, or the directional buttons. Has anybody done this before?

I tried IR from the smartremote but this didn't work for me, I've never had luck with myserver/smartremote IR. Maybe I'm doing something wrong
 

Depending on the model JVC, use the IP JVC projector driver.

If IR isn't working, then certainly "you are doing something wrong". Put that into it's own thread and post what you did, and log files of when it's not working. Use IR only when there is no other alternative.

Thanks for the reply! I am using the IP JVC projector driver. For my model of projector (DLA-X550R) it doesn’t seem to support main menu or directional buttons.

I can start another threat about the IR issues I’m having, but just wanted to know if these 2 (IR and the IP JVC projector driver) are the only ways people are controlling their JVC projectors

Just a thought: I have a device where the IP commands are incomplete. So I loaded the IR driver and the device to get those missing commands. The IR command list covered many of those missing commands, but not all. So I resorted to using learned IR commands to get those  last few commands. So my device control on the SmartRemote may be sending out IP, IR, or learned IR commands depending on the command.
