Bluesound driver?

Is there a driver for Bluesound/BluOS compatible multi-room audio products on the horizon?

There isn't a Bluesound driver today, but there will be.
This will be Allonis's primary streaming audio player.

Ooh nice. We're jumping ship from Sonos due to the atrocious rollout of the latest version of their app. It's completely hobbled use for those of us with local libraries, especially spoken word tracks (audio books, plays etc) like we listen to. We just don't trust them now to properly support local library use as I imagine most of their new customers nowadays are streamers only.

We've dipped our toe into the water with one Bluesound zone and I think this is the one for us so proper myServer integration would be great.

I've heard of a lot of people having this issue with sonos. Why not just use Plex to manage your music library, then you can use plexamp or symfonium as the app player and play it on sonos speakers using Airplay/network connected speakers?

I don't personally have sonos devices, so maybe I'm missing something. Just curious. But doesn't seem like their app is the only way to manage music locally or play music on their speakers?

I haven't looked into it in great detail so I might be missing something too. But my impressions are that to control Sonos from plexamp you need a plexpass (extra money) and a Plex server running (yet another thing to go wrong). And when I last tried Plex and some other DLNA music servers the indexing and navigation wasn't good for a big library of speech tracks. I also get the impression that to use airplay you have to leave the phone on even if whatever it is is streaming direct to the player.

I wrestle with IT problems every day for my job and when I'm home I just want stuff to work, I don't want to be spending my time fiddling with multiple servers and services.

Edited to add: we also regularly group and ungroup zones around the house depending on who's doing what and where. We don't want to have to use multiple apps, one of which is flaky as hell at the moment (Sonos).
