Another observation. The driver regularly disconnects from the amp and reconnects about 10 seconds later. This disconnect happens about 40 seconds after the previous connect.
If I try a command to the driver in the 10 second gap when it's disconnected from the amp then nothing happens - no error but no success either. As soon as it reconnects and I try the command again it works. I would expect sending a command to the driver to trigger an immediate reconnect if disconnected and the command to happen.
