Can't find Apple TV's was created by camens
I've gone through the process carefully a number of times.  I have copied the companion and airplay credentials to the Notes and Members fields.  However, I am having the exact problem referred to in the notes. The Device Address is left blank and the Serial Number field has the device address in it.  As per below from the documentation:

If the Device Address field is blank and the Serial Number file has the Device Address in it:  Usually on a successful discover the serial number should contain a long GUID unique identifier and the Device Address field will have the AppleTV  mac address.

With the Device Address file blank the driver is not able to authenticate with the AppleTV.  Edited the AppleTV entry and copy the Server number field over to the Device address field and now the driver sees all your apps.

So, check to see if your Device Address field is  blank. If it is make the save changes as per above. If you still have issues then let Allonis remote in and have a look.

I'm assuming it is asking me to copy the Device Address that's in the Serial Number field (I'm assuming the above 'Server number' is a typo) to the Device Address field.  I've done this and it is still not finding the Apple TV.

Would love to get some help with this!

Here are the docs for AppleTV
allonis.com/support/documentation?view=category&id=185

Are you installing PYATV? What step of the process is not what you are expecting? What do you see instead?

Thanks David.  I thought because you supplied the USB key for the server, that pyatv would be installed.  It wasn't so after doing that it worked fine.  Thanks again.

Sorry to hijack this conversation. Are you saying that if the device address is blank the serial number entry should be copied to the device address - so both entries are the same?
And as I bought my controller from you I don’t need to do anything with pyatv?

I’m controlling my ATV ok but the icons for favourite apps I’ve not had much look getting to load consistently

Yes, need to follow the AppleTV documentation which includes installing pyatv.
If you are saying that it works "most of the time", then my guess is pyatv is installed (or it wouldn't ever work). So, if it's inconsistent, that sounds like something else.
Controller purchased from Allonis generally have the "Master Image" installed to them and booted. Unless you purchased something more from Allonis where we manually might have added something.

EDIT, I reread the docs...says it's pre-installed...I have to figure out specifics and edit the docs if they aren't accurate.  I don't use AppleTV so don't have first hand.

In my case if I add the serial number to the device address this works for a short time - icons are on remote and it controls the ATV. It then stops being able to control the ATV. If I remove the device address it immediately allows the ATV to be controlled but the icons disappear. I have tried using the serial number from the ATV and the GUID but that makes no difference
