So, I just got home from work and tried the SmartRemote and the hard buttons are now working........GREAT......... the only thing still not resolved is the AppleTV app icons on the SmartRemote still not showing up anymore........ but at least I can use the Remote again.........

did you redo the authentication process? That is what is indicated by the error in the log is that the appletv box isn't happy with security issue.

David, I did do this after I posted my request for instructions. After "Pairing" per these instructions. I saw no difference. The hard buttons do work, but I'm not seeing the AppleTV apps. icons on the SmartRemote Screen that I had prior to the server update......

I just looked on your server. When the driver tries to get the list of apps from the ATV the event log shows

AppleTV.RX: atv - carl - 2024-07-26 12:04:46 ERROR [pyatv.scripts.atvremote]: Could not find any Apple TV on current network  

Why? I'm not sure because it can get the now playing info from the ATV. I'm doing further testing here.
