How to change the Apps that show?

I have a NVIDIA shield which I'm controlling using the Android TV driver. By default, the apps that appear in SmartRemote are Plex, Prime Video, Youtube, Netflix, and Freevee. I would like to change the apps. I see that the overlay in myDesigner is making an API call: /api/getappicons/androidtv/{{active_shieldtv_{{clientname}}}}

How do I edit what's returned here? I would like to remove some of the apps that are showing by default, and also add some others if possible.

I have read the documentation and searched the forum, but didn't see an answer. I'm also on latest myServer and Android TV driver versions.

Edit: I found another post suggesting that you can't change these and to just build a custom page, so that's what I'm doing.

The API isn't really configurable. I got around it with soft buttons that issue LAUNCH commands.

EDIT: I've come across a few apps that for whatever reason don't respond to launch commands. SmartTubeNext is one. CuriosityStream is another. I had to resort to a FLIRC and a button mapping program installed on the Shield to take care of these.

I'm seeing the same-- can't get NordVPN to respond. Tivimate responded, but only after I changed the LAUNCH command from "TiviMate IPTV Player" to "Tivimate"
