There is a bug in the command builder for the Sony TV driver. 

When you select Remote, the command looks like this:  AV|<device id>~Remote~Command

Fill in the target device, and it looks like this:  AV|1~Remote

Choose a remote command, and it looks like this:  AV|1~RemoteReturn

The correct command is:  AV|1~Remote~Return

You need to manually add the ~ until they fix the bug in the driver.
 

Fixed in today's driver update.

What I found is that "Return" doesn't work as a "Select", it appears to be a "go back" command. "Confirm" was the command I needed. It works now!
