Button backlight times out while still using the remote

It's all good. Your suggestion gave me what I needed in order to look at it differently and approach the problem from another angle.

What is the variable for the actual Smartremote name?  I want the WakeupMyRemote command to only execute on the remote where the button is pushed.  I'm assuming it's something like WakeupMyRemote|{{Variable}}.

 

WakeupMyRemote|{{clientname}} should probably work.

I don't use "Clientname", and it's not defined as a system variable. I don't use the normal Allonis activate macros which usually define that variable. I will dig a bit more into the stock macros and see how Allonis defines the variable.

Update - Works fine...  clientname returns the right value.  I guess it's a built in system function vs a "Server Variable".

I don't think that SetActiveSource defines {{clientname}}. I believe it defines other variables that use {{clientname}} within them. I'm pretty sure {{clientname}} is defined by whatever Client Name is assigned to the remote in the Server Connection Options on the remote itself. By default these are randomized (remote3, remote8, etc) though you might have changed this when you initially set up the remote. 

What was confusing was that clientname didn't show up in the list of Server Variables.  The remote names also didn't appear as a value. 

All is good now...when my wife is using the tivo guide to look for something to watch, the remote stays on the entire time.
