Please clarify what you mean by updated. If this is effectively a fresh install on new hardware, did you activate your license and download and configure all the drivers? I assume so, but it's worth asking.I installed the image, booted the system, and updated it via the myServer interface.

I hadn't really contemplated this strategy, but the more I think about it the more I'm liking the idea of running this in a VM on my NAS. I've been contemplating buying/building another server as a backup but I think I might go down this path instead. Thanks!Please clarify what you mean by updated. Or do you just mean updating the OS, and you are not getting to the MyServer part, because it's crashing?
One of the reasons I chose to run myServer in a VM on my QNAP is that I can make regular backups of the entire VM. This simplifies disaster recovery.
