Blank multi colored screen and nothing else was created by Mark Guebert
I hadnt been using the smartremote for some time and myserver was disconnected for approx 3 months. I connected everything back up and updated myserver. During all of this the wifi had been changed. Smartremote is connected to the new wifi network and myserver can see it and it does respond to commands through the myserver command tab.
I have the latest myserver installed and I did the adb force uninstall of the android apk and re installed (more than once), I even tried clearing the cache and app data. No matter what I try the smart remote boots to a blank multicolor screen. I cannot get to the settings to point the remote to the theaterremote template or the default smart remote template.
I am stuck, any ideas?

The latest is now I can see the allonis smart remote banner at the top, but when I click the 3 lines on the left I cannot setup wifi app settings or exit the remote app. If I hit the left arrow the menu disappears and I can click the 3 lines again and it will open the menu, but nothing happens
Wifi is not setup any longer.

Can you get to the Android desktop? If so go to the Android settings app and connect to the wifi through that. I've had our remote get into a similar state and that's how I fixed it.

I was able to get to the android desktop by rebooting, but before I could get the wifi password punched in it went to the smartremote app and I am stuck back in that mode where even though the 3 line menu works it won't do anything at all, I cant exit, I cant go to app settings, and I can't configure wifi.

Ok I was able to get back to the wifi connected, and then I did the adb force uninstall of smartremote from the server, and then did the re install. I restarted the remote and it didn't auto launch so I opened the smartremote app, and now I am back to the multi colored screen and it won't do anything at all.

sounds like your smartremote settings are not connecting to the myServer server / folder.
go to http://your myserver ip address/smartremote from a computer's browser on same network
Does a page load?
if so, then ensure that is the address and folder name that is configured in the SmartRemotes' settings.
